A collective voice will make a huge difference in your children's every day school life (from their safety, to what and how they learn)

How do I become a voting member?
You must be parent of a student at Parkdale PS to be a non-staff voting member. We accept application forms in throughout the year given that there is room (there is a maximum of 25).
You can fill out the form.
Members are required to:
- Attend 5 council meetings in the year, or 60% of all council meetings
- Actively participate in one committee
- Volunteer for a minimum of two community or fundraising events.
To make it more accessible, volunteering for these events can take many different forms and you are not necessarily required to physically attend an event. Look out for the weekly news blasts from Natalie on how you can help contribute to the school community through Parent Council.
We are still currently looking for communications and Green team co-chairs.
If you'd like more information about all of the roles, you can view this doc.
Why is it not "Parent" Council?
In the 2018/2019 school year the name was changed from Parent Council to School Council. This is consistent with what the TDSB calls these Council and the terms School represents the broader membership including all caregivers, staff and a student rep. This name change will take some time to transition the name Parent Council may still be used in some areas including the email address and bank account.
